Warranties

Chervon North America, Inc. ("Chervon") warrants to the original purchaser only in the United States of America (and its territories) and Canada that the following SKIL products will be free from defects in material or workmanship from the date of original purchase or date of delivery (if later than the date of purchase) for the periods set forth in the chart below.

*The form is for product registration. Product registration can be completed online at www.Registermyskil.com. Purchasers should also retain their receipt as proof of purchase, as proof of purchase is required to complete product registration.

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser when purchased from an authorized SKIL retailer and may not be transferred unless otherwise prohibited by law (which may include the Province of Quebec). Please save your original dated receipt or complete the product registration form to ensure you have a record of when and where the product was purchased.

Because Chervon cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, Chervon reserves the right to reject warranty claims for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized internet sites, unless otherwise prohibited by law. CHERVON’S SOLE OBLIGATION AND YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY under this warranty and, to the extent permitted by law, any warranty or condition implied by law, shall be the repair or replacement of parts, without charge, which are defective in material or workmanship and which have not been misused, carelessly handled, or damaged by repair by persons other than Chervon or an Authorized Service Station. This warranty does not cover part failure due to normal wear and tear or negligence.

Warranty service must be requested within the applicable warranty period. Please contact Chervon customer service toll-free at 1-877-SKIL-999 (1-877-754-5999) and be prepared to describe the alleged defect and provide the original dated sales receipt. Provided the warranty claim is preliminarily approved, you must return the complete product to any SKIL Factory Service Center or Authorized Service Station. For Authorized SKIL Power Tool Service Stations, please visit www.Registermyskil.com or call 1-877-SKIL-999 (1-877-754-5999). The purchaser is responsible for transportation of the product (including any attachments) at their expense to and from the Authorized FLEX Service Stations.

This warranty does not apply to routine maintenance parts and consumables that can wear out from normal use within the warranty period, including blades, trimmer heads, chain bars, saw chains, belts, scraper bars, blower nozzles, drill bits, router bits, sanding belts, grinding wheels, and other related items.

There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO A PRODUCT SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION EQUAL TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO SUCH PRODUCT, AS SET FORTH IN THE CHART ABOVE. Any oral or written description of the products is for the sole purpose of identifying the products and shall not be construed as an express warranty. Some States and jurisdictions (which may include the Province of Quebec) do not all limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL CHERVON BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LIABILITY FOR LOSS OF PROFITS) BASED UPON BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR STRICT LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SALE OR USE OF THIS PRODUCT. Some States and jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by such laws, it shall be null and void, but the remainder of the warranty shall remain in effect. The disclaimers, exclusions, and limitations of liability under this warranty shall not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law (which may include the Province of Quebec).

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State and jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

The original purchaser may return any eligible SKIL® professional portable and benchtop power tool for any reason to the original place of purchase, within 180 days from the date of purchase for a full refund. If you are not able to return it to the place of purchase, please reach out to Chervon at 1-877-SKIL-999 (1-877-754-5999). Please note that because we are unable to control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, unless otherwise prohibited by law, the STAY TRUE™ Guarantee is not available for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized internet sites. The original purchaser must retain the receipt as proof of purchase. Reconditioned tools ARE NOT eligible for our STAY TRUE™ Guarantee.
